Easter

Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrated by millions of people around the world who honour the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, it is filled with history, folklore and traditional customs.
The resurrection is described in the New Testament as having occurred three days after his crucifixion at Calvary. It is also the day that children excitedly wait for their treats of chocolate eggs.

The Easter box contains religious artefacts as well as a variety of items celebrating the secular side of Easter.

There is a grant available from The Jerusalem Trust’s Small Grants to Schools Scheme. The grant supports the teaching of Christianity within Religious Education. The scheme operates by providing schools with grants of up to £600 to purchase resources for use in RE lessons. (Use a search engine to find details of The Jerusalem Trust’s Grant Scheme)
